NASCAR Sprint Cup

Richmond International Channel shows sign of Cupseason Sprint quarter, and now it is clear who the contenders and pretenders are this year. Champions usual suspects ex likes of Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski and Matt Kenseth-running line of attack and chase many victories.

Except a funny thing happened in Richmond: someone else won. In fact, not only Kevin Harvick wins, three of the drivers on the sidelines of the summit 20 - Kurt W. Bush, Juan Montoya and even Jeff Burton - had chances to pull it off.

Truth be told, as much as we get the feeling we know who will win it all this year, Richmond proved that we have no idea. Just check out this list of the names of the winners and losers if you need to prove.

I appreciate everyone's support for my efforts to try to finish the season on top of and contribute to the team. I think I have to finish the season on top in a different way. I will not be able to play on Sunday, but it's OK. We're going to come out with a victory and then will move on from there. I hope to come back when we get to San Antonio.
"
- Meta World Peace via Twitter
"He wanted to give it a go, but he was just pulling his leg, and we did not feel like he could go," said coach Mike D'Antoni of World Peace, who was scoreless in the Los Angeles Lakers 17 minutes in the first half 'loss 120 - 89 in Game 3 on Friday.

"I appreciate everyone's support my efforts to try to finish the season on top of and contribute to the team," World Peace said in a video that God twitter account Saturday. "I think I have to finish the season on top in a different way, I will not be able to play on Sunday, but not too bad. We're going to come out triumphantly and then will move on from there. Hopefully, I can go back when we get to San Antonio."

That would be Game 5 on Tuesday, and if the series goes that far. If it does not, it will begin an interesting offseason.

Dwight Howard is set to become a free agent on July 1, and it has yet to inform the Los Angeles Lakers, whether he intends to re-sign or not.

"I have not thought about it," Howard said after practice Saturday. "We did not talk about it."

D'Antoni, due to a public vote of support from the Los Angeles Lakers manager Mitch Kupchak before the LA final game of the regular season against the Houston Rockets, also avoided a question about what we can achieve the offseason.

"We're worried about Sunday's game is everything we do," D'Antoni said. "We're going to try to play well on Sunday and try to get a win, win to sneak in there."

Spurs have won the first three games of the series by 18 points, and there's no denying the impact that injuries had on the Los Angeles Lakers.

"It was really hard," said Pau Gasol. "It's hard to play at this level of playoff basketball without a table healthy. Non 1-2-3-4 only (players), and this is the key five players in our rotation and our game that are not there with us. It's been one thing after another . has been a bumpy path. "

Gasol is an average of 13.3 points, 12.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists in the series, but said he is not healthy, either.

"The foot is still bothering me," said Gasol, who missed a large part of the season with a torn plantar fascia in his right foot. "I knew that was going to happen.'m Taking care of it every day, but it's still restricted.

"My knees and being an issue, too. And my suffering tendons patellar. It's something that once the season is over, I'll have to take care of and do something about because it was the limit, but at the same time, I've still been very good performance, and I want to continue to fight, and continue to leave everything out there on the ground, and do what I have to do. "

Gasol said his left knee hurts more than the right, but both will require attention in this summer.

"We will see what kind of treatments, injections (available)," Gasol said. "It's more than tendinitis, it's tendonitis. There is a degeneration of the tissue, and this is something I've dealt with every year, so I'll have to do something to tissue regeneration and so I do not have to play with this pain."

Gasol said that he could follow the example of Kobe Bryant and fly to Germany for treatment Regenokine.

"Wherever I have to go, I'll go," said Gasol. "It's a possibility."

He said four times All-Star, who will turn out on July 33, said he was looking forward to a non-invasive procedures instead of surgery.

"Find ways to tendon tissue regeneration so I can get rid of all the dead tissue and inflammation that is there at the moment. I also have calcification on my listing of my patella (tendon)," Gasol said. "So, it was hard, but it was not easy this year, so do not expect any less than that."

You do not have Gasol as clear a picture of what would happen to him and put his teammates with the Lakers this summer. Gasol, World Peace, Bryant and Blake are all eligible to be released from the team through the amnesty rule the NBA. Gasol knows better than most of the deals that are always a possibility, after an agreement to send him to Houston in a tripartite deal would have landed Chris Paul to the Lakers before the 2011-12 season fell through.

"I am happy and proud of how the players fought through what we've been through and gone through," said Gasol. "That's what I'd like to see, and this is what will remain in my mind and my heart. What will happen after that is completely up to the team and management, and this is absolutely not in our hands."

What is in the hands of the Lakers depleted 'is their game 4 performance.

"We want to win and we're not going to just leave because all the odds are against us," said Howard. "We are going to fight and this is the only way you know how to play."

He said D'Antoni: "You can not do something that everyone will be talking about if everyone expects you to do so no one expects us to do it, so, we're going to show we're going to try to do it and why not? We have good guys. Has battled since February getting us to this position, and we are now in a big hole again, in an attempt to recover slowly, and this is our thinking.'ll see if we can do that. "

Crowd forgot that I play for India also: Virat Kohli

Mumbai: booed by a section of the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium here, Royal Challengers captain Ferrat Cooley return on Saturday, saying fans "forgot" that represents the Indian cricket team as well.

"The IPL is not the end of the world, they forget about playing for India as well," Cooley said in the wake of his team `s heavy defeat away to Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

A small number of heads of totting bleachers at Wankhede, booed as Cooley walked outside to attend the presentation ceremony.

After the publication of 194 for seven in 20 overs, Mumbai Indians restricted RCB to 136 for seven and comfortably won the game by 58 runs.

"Hopefully, we can be the top four will not click in every game, and this was one of those days when I didn 't up, and we have to pick ourselves up. Re-group," said Cooley.

The commander of the Mumbai Rohit Sharma full of praise for Dhawal Kulkarni, who rocked the RCB top order with three wickets.

"We have done everything well to a large extent today, right from the beating, and we finished well. Particular reference to Dhawal Kulkarni, the first game for him, it was a tremendous effort from him. I just don` t want to get carried away too much, Sharma said. "

Man of the Match said Dwayne Smith, who laid the foundation for Mumbai with blazing Session, "we didn` t have a good start at the top in the first couple of games ... and the pitch was very good. "

Cooley said he could not understand the behavior of the crowd at Wankhede.

"... I do not know what is wrong with people in this place. It feels a bit strange because at the end of the day you are playing for India, and you do not come here to be hated. Regardless of who wins or loses, in any of the games, I came Bangalore, and every leader cheered, and cheered every Indian player.

"People appreciate cricket good, I do not know why people have a lot of aggression and a lot of hatred towards the other teams in this particular place. As I said, IPL is not the end of the world," said Cooley in the last match media conference.

On the incident runout, Cooley explained, "Well, it's very important to have knowledge of cricket. Whether any deliberate interruption of the bowler and then the arbitrator has stopped hitter.

"It's his job not mine. Judgment told me that he was there. Did not see the bowler and batsman batsman did not see the bowlers, and they collided. It is perfectly fine to be honest," he said.

"You must have a lot of awareness of the game of cricket to see where the bowler back to his mark. Has to back up when there is no one behind him."

Mumbai Indians player Dwayne Smith refused to be drawn into the debate, saying only, "It was a case of fair play, but you can not do anything about it. Decided to go against it."

Aashiqui-2

Film: Aashiqui 2
Director: Mohit Suri
Cast: Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor
Rating: ** 1/2

A rockstar spirit rarely in control of their actions, a girl singing culturally rooted in bars and aspires to be Lata. A decision to guide innocent snowballs in a torrid affair. I love it. Addiction. Tears. Karma. Sacrifice. Music. Music, above all. This, in a nutshell, is Aashiqui 2: newly crated Bhatt assembly line. However, this time they have been jilted the idea of shocking, frightening, or healing you and chose to agreement with conviction. The result: a mashup that pays tribute to Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Abhimaan of Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar.

Although attractive and ripe for the most part, the script Aashiqui 2 stubbornly refuses to break the surface tension of cyclical history. And unfortunately, is neither deep nor very original, it works more as a tribute. There is hardly an emotion that have not been handled before, past misunderstandings out of sync with the technology at hand, or a scene that does not feel like a deja vu moment. It is concerning overcame these: Abhimaan was a story Hindi movie audiences had not seen before. And just the sheer scale of Rockstar with Ranbir Kapoor's antics made the cult-like.

Even Aashiqui 2 has its fair share of tender moments framed by large amounts of tears. I liked that the relationship is purely platonic almost to the halfway mark and when feelings can not hold back anymore, that flow like a raging hurricane. Yet the scene that paints this picture is moving, and gives the image that are likely to be left with long after the film ends. She definitely nervous for his first shot at a professional singer, refusing to enter the recording studio. He tries to convince her in. They have a heart to heart conversation through a glass tablet door. There is no perfection, even in the sound design.

Love Makes a blender unseemly for all the alcohol you drink. Must choose. You can not choose. Like its weakness is the bottle, it his him. She makes a choice. He, with his luggage. He promises to clean. He staggers. Rinse. Repeat. Until it reaches the end of the vortex. Does not advance much. Especially down. The focus remains on drivers. Literally. Many of the characters in a scene never seen, only his or her reactions. Mohit Suri has endless options to its climax. He chooses the hardest final and most correct.

It's a shame that a few weak moments of stupidity ahead sacrifice for quality theater. That and the fact that they seem to be living on different continents, while manufacturers to pass as a city. Pepper the scenes with some poor dialogue and what we should have to be a romantic date movie is less satisfactory than one would have expected.

Invest, instead, on the actors. Finally, young Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor get papers with some leeway to make their own. And Aashiqui 2 is the majority.

Mohit Suri is a director who knows his craft and is still making films in the knowledge and heart. Aashiqui 2 delicate handling definitely feels more than the execution of a script. It's just that your audience needs to be in a similar space of mind to really enjoy this film. Sure it has its moments music, but does not actually say anything new.
