Ek Thi Dayan

Director: Kannan Iyer
Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Kalki Koechlin

AU / A certificate for the film Emraan Hashmi can seem like discrimination, but certainly not praise for a horror film. However, despite the testimony of Sergeant, Ek Thi Daayan still promises some chills and thrills and fantasy, to that required for the success of this kind.

After surviving the ghosts of the old school and demons over the decades, we finally have a film that enters the devil in the form of lovers daayan - a popular entity in folklore but rarely explored. By definition, daayan a is the devil who preys on children to keep her evil powers. Pretty decent, successful makers in creating the enigmatic about daayan the world and gives them individual identity. So has daayan her dingy den in the basement of the building, has the powers of her in her elongated and strand seeks sacrifice of children on the lunar leap year.

The story is a from Bobo magician (Emraan Hashmi), who could not get over the fact of his childhood, where he faced daayan who killed his little sister. It is of concern to both his professional and personal life. And now he has a feeling that daayan, who had vowed to return, and come back in a different appearance.

By Vishal Bhardwaj and Mukul Sharma, the story of a successor Thi Daayan plays to a large extent in two. The first has and facts daayan seen through the eyes of a child Bobo, while the second is about the paranoia Bobo to return daayan in his adult life. It is clear that the separation in childhood, which determines mainly determines the devil and desire, is more creepy and captivating. Raising from which it comes mysteriously disappears and makes for a haunting setting, and can incite the moment the elevator phobia.

But after the installation the first half, the narrative turns shallow somewhere in the second half as Episode adult Bobo over the reins. The problem is that the film is largely dependent on that one thrill elements placed in the warehouse at its peak. But if you are discerning enough, the revelation did not come as a surprise. Moreover, after drafting the credibility of the world in the first half witch, Director Canaan Eyre not seem to know what to do after that and chooses to climax was quick and tame.

To watch a horror film, shock tactics and sound effects are very good. However, it was a love song or a marriage ceremony at least something is required in such events planned. Also in the film often resort to a lot of amenities and the back stories of the characters could have done with more meat.

Emraan Hashmi is serious but has played these characters puzzled often so there was no novelty left at his disposal. Instead, the the Vishesh child actor Tiwari, who plays his young counterpart, is impressive than that. Huma Qureshi gravity in a place what invincible brimming her. Kalki Koechlin barely gets any scope. The film belongs largely to Konkana Sen Sharma, who gives this kind of depth it deserves the expressive act. Rajatava Dutta psychiatrist is entertaining.

In this context, from movies such as The Twilight Saga, was even Ek Thi Daayan ability to breathe life into the mythical legends of our territory. If you excuse its peak in 'done to death, "this one does not make a decent attempt to do so.

EK Thi Daayan moments will lift your spirits!
