New Delhi: Indian pacer and Rajasthan Royals player S Sreesanth was 'falsely or wrongly' arrested by the police, his lawyer said on Friday.
Speaking to reporters, said his lawyer, Deepak Prakash: "It was Sreesanth or falsely arrested by mistake they (Delhi Police) have got some misinformation or arrested by mistake."
He was arrested late Wednesday and accused of spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) points - Sreesanth and two of his colleagues Rajasthan Royals - Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila. Was addressed to a cricket player who triple and 11 bettors with fraud and criminal conspiracy.
